Hola,

Erst muss ich eine entschuldigung machen - ich spreche nur wenige Deutsch (aber ich lernen). Ich komme aus England aber ich wohne in Wien. Ich habe einen RD04 und es war Captain (Twinmike on Advrider) dass hat mir informiert uber hier.

Heya, I found out about this forum from an fellow inmate on Advrider (many thanks TM). I've only had my RD04 for a few months months now, my previous bike was a Guzzi so I'm keeping to the twin theme :).

I'm looking forward to learning how handle a bike off-road (although I understand the options are fairly limited in Austria) as well to meeting some felling AT owners but please, forgive me now for what I do to your language :)

I'm a very inexperienced mechanic but I'm hoping to learn as I go although, very sadly. I have garage to work on the bike so I'm hoping to make friends with folks who've got some work-space :) I can bring beer :)

To collect some offroad praxis you are invited to join our Panonia Raid on 24.-26.04. a tour about 200km on gravel near by vienna. Just check out the Panonia Raid block unfortunately in german but if you need some info in your mother tounge just state it.

Thanks everyone :) Adv is great but it's nice to have something specific to the AT and on this side of the pond :)

The Pannonia thing looks really interesting but, alas, I'm committed to course work 6 days a week until June.

I was thinking to try one of those off-road centres dotted around Austria, just for an afternoon, ideally close to Vienna. Last time I was off-road was 35 years ago :p so I consider myself less than a newbie :) - I thought I'd try just straight forward gravel riding/loose surface, on the flat, braking and so on.

What time do the meetings run until? I've got Tuesday classes (teaching English) that run until 21:30 in the 3rd....so I could only join late, if at all. However, after June I'll have a lot more time on my hands :)

Quick question if I may - can anyone recommend an off-road track somewhere in the Vienna area?

Ideally I'd be looking to learn (I'll have to teach myself) and then practice how to ride on gravel and sand and gentle inclines.

That was perfect - das war perfekt, danke. Ich habe ein GPX von seinem (?) site herunterlanden und es ist, ich denk, sehr nutlizh.

Ich suche noch auch for off-road training in Ostereich aber at least I can check this route out :)
